| Beniamino Maschio is still in harness, above all with a passion for grappa originating from a single grape and, for many years, for grape distillates. Some time ago he left the company’s reins in the hands of Alessandro and Flavia, his son and daughter: Alessandro, who has five children of his own, is among the most active and innovative distillers in his land, Veneto, which swarms with distilleries. President of the Istituto Grappa Veneta, he pushed the production of single grape origin grappas (Cabernet, Chardonnay, Manzoni bianco, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, Sauvignon), but he has also perfected some old favourites of generous drinking such as the Amarone, Prosecco and Cartizze grappas (refined for about 3 months, in small wild cherry wood casks) and Brenté, from Pinot and Prosecco grapes (aged from 3 to 9 years in oak casks). |
